Glass recycling

Kerbside glass recycling should be introduced. It's too Aird to transport wet bottles to the centres. Surely a good way to help with better recycling rates??

Why the contribution is important

If more waste needs recycled surely this is an easy way to do it and save money?

I agree glass should be collected and recycled.
Down South we had to separate glass, plastic, tins and paper for weekly collections.

I live 15 miles from the nearest glass collection point. That's a 30 mile round trip, a fiver in petrol. It needs collecting at my street

I agree, it seems a bit backward Scottish Borders Council not to have glass recycling uplifts? We have never had them in our area, we don't get the food waste collection and you have taken away our garden waste uplifts? Seem to be losing things but not gaining an awful lot.
